Violet Thalamus imagine si ceci

Pleased to announce the release of “imagine si ceci” by Violet Thalamus. This new band features bass clarinet and saxophone player Philippe Lauzier—with whom I’ve been playing for over 20 years and who is featured on all three Weird Studies records—as well as drummer Michel F. Côté, a pillar of the Québec musique actuelle scene for the past four decades and a member of Klaxon Gueule, among countless other projects.

We went into the studio on February 10 without having rehearsed and without any concrete plan for what we would play. We knew we would improvise, but we never imagined this would come out of it.

Listen to two tracks now and preorder the full album, which drops November 6. Click here.

SEPTEMBER CD SALE

For the month of September, all CDs currently available on my Bandcamp are 50% off. Some of these are almost out of print, so now’s the time to pick them up, as I most likely won’t be making more.

Visit my merch page on Bandcamp to browse through the collection. The discount codes are listed on the individual album pages.

Weird Studies Vol. 3

I’m pleased to announce that Weird Studies Vol. 3 is now out in the world. You can visit Bandcamp to read the liner notes by JF Martel and Phil Ford, purchase the digital download or LP, or stream the album wherever you listen to music.

Thanks, as always, for supporting the music.
